A day of robotics, space, and STEM innovation — built for students, open to everyone.
Date: Saturday, 11 October 2025
Location: QUT Gardens Point, O Block level 1
Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Step into the future of space exploration at MechMayhem — a one-day celebration of robotics, engineering, and innovation during World Space Week.
At the heart of the day is a mini robotics competition in our central arena — fast-paced matches and rematches to keep the energy high — but that’s just the beginning.
What’s On
- Mini Robotics Competition – High school teams design and build their own battle robots throughout the year, then face off in head-to-head matches.
- Hands-On Workshops & Challenges – Build mini robots with Sam Space, tackle a Mars rover obstacle course, or attempt an ISS repair simulation.
- Space-Industry Stalls – Explore how electrical, medical, architecture, civil, and robotics fields connect to space exploration.
- Mentoring & Lightning Talks – Meet industry professionals, researchers, and innovators, and gain insight into STEM pathways.
